Product Details

Sapphire, known scientifically as corundum, comes in every color of the rainbow. A relatively unknown fact is that a red sapphire is called a ruby. In the rarest of events nature will offer a sapphire whose color joins the richest of pinks, reds and purple. These sapphires are generalized into the categories of ruby, pink sapphire or rubyesque. This 2.46 carat perfectly cut round brilliant Ceylon sapphire exhibits top rich pink, red and purple! It has been certified by two highly respected labs including the American Gem Laboratory (AGL) and The Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Showcasing phenomenal rich color that is noted as intense and even throughout the stone, this sapphire/ruby displays top brilliance due to excellent near loupe clean clarity and a perfect round brilliant cut (precision cutting, no windows, dark areas or patches). This is truly a collector’s piece. Complimenting the richly colored sapphire is a round brilliant diamond that is prong set on either side of the center stone. The diamond pair is 1.00 carats total weight and SI1 clarity H color. In total this traditional styled ring has 3.46 carats of high quality gemstones and diamonds, weighs approximately 5 grams and is a size 7 (please indicate your sizing preference on the order form). _____________________________________________________________________________________________________
