Peruvian Blue Opal (H)* Blue Topaz (H,R) Dangles 14KWG 21.40 ctw

During my trip to the 2018 International GemFair in Tucson this year I decided to look for the beautiful and less commonly seen gemstone. My eye is always drawn to electric turquoise blue colors and these gorgeous Peruvian opals were stunning. I purchased a number of pairs and single for pendants and necklaces. The pieces have a tendency to be large and less suited for rings. This lovely pair of oblong shaped Peruvian blue opals weighs 16 ctw and measure 21 X 13 mm. They are primary bright turquoise blue with gold veins and flecks. These large stones are prong set and dangle from matching cushion cut blue topaz. The blue topaz are 8.0 mm, are Swiss blue in color, have excellent clarity, cutting and brilliance and are 5.40 ctw. The topaz are also prong set and a pair of jump rings is used to allow the blue opals to dangle freely. The earrings dangle 11/4″ or 32 mm in length and are 1/2″ or 13 mm wide. These earrings are made with slightly over 6.0 grams of 14K white gold.
