Lightning Ridge, Australia is known for their exceptional quality black opals.  The opal featured in this ring is a solid opal from that region of the world.  It is considered amongst the finest due to its variety of colors and the intensity being a 4.9 out of 5 for brightness.  Across the face of the opal there will be broad flashes of cherry red, orange, pink, green, blue and purple.  The opal has no white or yellow spots which are lights reflecting off the stone’s table.  A gorgeous intricately worked scroll 18K yellow gold setting houses the opal which rests between a pair of AAA+ quality diamond cut Ceylon blue sapphires.  The sapphires weigh 0.60 ctw, are 4.0 mm, are top rated for their rich blue color, excellent clarity, precision cutting which includes diamond faceting for added brilliance and splendid blue brilliance.  The blue of the sapphire was selected to highlight the black opal’s color.  The ring features a squared shank for added comfort and style.  The ring weighs a substantial 7.0 grams and is a size 6.  Please indicate your size request on the order form.
