Tsavorite has taken a dramatic price rise over the past decade and large stones are obsolete. Most quality tsavorite over 3 carats is selling for over $10,000 per carat. This is a stone that has been in stock for approximately 15 years when tsavorite was more affordable and is a large 4.25 certified (a digital copy of the certificate will accompany the sale) beauty. The tsavorite exhibits top of the line color that is ideally saturated its clarity is dealer rated eye-clean and with a loupe quite a number of silk particles and bubbles/veils are noted. The stone measures 9.65 X 6.58 mm and is prong set in a heavy protective platinum basket. The cushion cut and vibrant green tsavorite is set on a platinum mounting with a pair of pear cut high quality diamonds that are 0.50 carats total weight, 6 X 3.5 mm and highly rated SI1 H quality.
