A treasure to be hold…this very rare large round brilliant cut Ceylon sapphire is certified by the Gemological Institute of American (GIA) and weighs 4.96 carats. It is text book Ceylon cornflower blue color, has excellent clarity, superb skilled faceting (no window, dark or shaded areas) and as evident in the photos spectacular brilliance. The color is a very strong primary blue with faint secondary purple hue that is evident in natural lighting and the stone’s brilliance will throw off a purple spark amidst a sea of blue. Prong set the rich blue stone is surrounded by a halo of fine quality round brilliant prong set diamonds. Diamonds are also set along each of the split shoulders of the ring. There is 2.00 carats total weight in diamonds that are SI1 clarity and F color.
